Experience:       

Minimum 7-10 yrs Production / Plant Environment in chemicals, refinery, pulp & paper, or related.
Good Leadership and communication (oral and written) skills
Proven track record in MI and RCM implementation        

Chemistry:        Inorganic processes - preferred

Job Responsibilities:
1.        Organize and coordinate technical compliance for site maintenance activities. This includes managing staff and resources ensuring maintenance activities and schedules for work across the site meet applicable technical engineering standards and company requirements.  (Team of 10-12)
2.        Develop and support implementation of Risk Based Inspection, Testing and Maintenance strategies.  
3.        Support of site inspection, testing and preventive maintenance and reliability activities.  This work includes identification of applicable codes, standards and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP).
4.        Review site maintenance procedures, practices, and equipment records making recommendations for improving predictive and preventative maintenance and incorporating good maintenance practices to ensure safe reliable performance. Prepare reports for site management on evaluation and recommendations for improving maintenance practices, code compliance and documentation.

Working Knowledge and Application of:
- Reliability centered maintenance / PM&PdM programs
- Recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) such as ASTM Methods, API Standards, ASME Section VII Div 1, B 31.3, API570, and API510
- 29 CFR 1910 OSHA Compliance, general safety standards

Plant hands on process engineering position.  Person will be responsible for basic process duties; debottlenecking, troubleshooting, revamps, optimizations, modifications & other classical process engineering work.  The bulk of the time will be spent on optimizing & improving new and existing processes, process improvements and process related projects.  Provide technical support and troubleshoots processes to keep it running efficiently.  Process Engineer will work closely w/ operators and production supervisors to get feedback on the operation.  This position may also be involved with some design work for improvement projects.  Work closely w/ production supervisors and operators to monitor processes.  Work on improvement projects to reduce cost and improve efficiency of the process.  Maintain a safe and sound environment.  Work with Polymer Development, Sales, Technical Service, and Production to improve and/or develop new products (Polymer Process). Process technologies include: Centrifugation, Distillation, Polymerization, Filtration, Separation.

A degree in Chemical Engineering with 3 plus years chemical industry experience. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills is a must.  Must be sensitive to all safety and environmental aspects as relating to the manufacture and marketing of this product.  Ability to work in a heavy team environment. Strong desire to understand the chemistry of this plant.  Must be willing to work long hours. Ideally wants to see one with gas distillation experience or resins experience.

A degree in Chemical Engineering and 5 plus years experience.   Will look at more experienced candidates provided they are within the salary range and not over-qualified.  Must possess a solid understanding of chemical engineering, process design principles, and plant operating practices.  They need a hit the ground running person, so some polymer or monomer experience will be helpful.  Strong problem solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions.  Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental quality issues.

Work Environment:

• Significant design work in the office
• Traveling to job site for installation supervision, system startup and commissioning. Installation and commissioning activities will take place in heavy industrial environments with associated typical noise and dust exposure levels and construction safety hazards.
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively, both local and internationally. International travel to third world countries may be required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Electrical or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience

The selected candidate will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.

Candidate will also assist in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment used in the production of large fabrications.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering required.
• 1 - 4 years experience in manufacturing environment.
• Robotic welding experience a strong plus.
• Strong leadership skills. Good communication skills.
• Computer proficient (Spreadsheets, Word processing, Project scheduling, Presentations (Power Point), 2D and 3D graphics, CAD/CAM programs and programmable logic controllers) with good organizational skills.
