Seeking qualified candidates who like to develop and implement projects across multiple plant sites. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering preferable Mechanical, will consider other technical degrees. A minimum of 5 years experience as an engineering project manager or process engineer in a high-volume, fast paced manufacturing organization is required. Lumber or wood products experience is preferred, but not required.

This position is located in the Southern US (NC/SC/GA). Travel requirement may be 80-100%. This position could be home or mill based depending on the location of successful candidate.

Responsible for:

Own region’s capital improvement plan and drive deadlines. Work with mill teams to develop scope, estimates, and justification for projects. Manage projects or lead other internal or external resources to complete the projects. Accountable for safe implementation of projects. Develop project schedules and project execution plans to ensure that projects are on time and meet cost and performance objectives. Evaluate effectiveness of each capital project and use this evaluation to improve capital process. Support mills with troubleshooting safety and reliability issues. Help apply engineering principles to mill repair and optimization activities. Be a resource to identify and implement operations excellence initiatives. Participate in implementation of manufacturing solutions. Facilitate root cause failure analysis where appropriate.

Maintenance Planner - AR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years engineering or maintenance experience in the chemical industry required; PSM covered process environment preferred. A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience a plus. Strong interpersonal and technical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis, strong communication, planning, and organization skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel is desired.

Responsible for:

Responsible for the leadership of the daily maintenance activities for a chemical complex that includes 2 formaldehyde plants, 6 resin reactors, a spray dry facility, a tall oil fractionation plant and 2 tall oil derivatives reactors. This includes predictive, preventative, and proactive maintenance analysis as well as designing and implementing long-term continuous improvement applications and systems to enhance maintenance reliability. Daily responsibilities will also include managing the storeroom inventory process, departmental costs, and regulatory issues around mechanical integrity/P&ID updates as required by PSM and other regulatory standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineeringand BS in Electrical or Computer Science engineering preferred.
4-6 years Manufacturing engineering experience with emphasis on project management
Proficient robotics programming (V+ & AIM) experience
Proficient V+ vision system programming experience
Proficient PLC programming and control systems design (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, Profibus, and Device Net, ) developing standard modules and extensive custom code
Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio and data acquisition is a plus
Diverse experience with electrical design, electronic circuit, and industrial automation programming (including robotics)
Skilled in the ability to troubleshoot, debug, and support manufacturing machinery
Exude a passion for new technology development
Proficient written and verbal communication skills including Microsoft Office
