• Perform low level hardware design, implementation, and testing for world class LED video display products including:
• Digital circuit design
• Schematic entry
• Sourcing of suppliers/components as necessary
• FPGA, and CPLD design, coding, and verification
• PCB Layout and supervision of external PCB layout contractors
• Coordination with systems engineering and mechanical engineering
• In conjunction with mechanical engineering and project management, interface with customers to understand system electrical/control requirements
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for manufacturing
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for field service including occasional off-site customer visits as required
• Support sales team with technical information and expertise
• Investigate root cause and resolve issues on existing hardware and software products including management of bug-tracking lists
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The individual in this position will provide work direction to both non-management and professional employees, but does not have direct performance appraisal responsibility for them.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

The candidate must have a professional level of knowledge within the fields of electrical or electronics engineering with a bachelors degree or masters degree in electrical/electronic engineering. Said individual must also have had a minimum of three years experience in electrical engineering and electronics development.

• Demonstrable specific experience should include the following:
• Ability to perform each aforementioned essential duty satisfactorily, including but not limited to the following skills/use of the following tools:
• Xilinx ISE/Foundation development for embedded processors

• License Termination Plan (LTP)

• Primary author responsible for drafting the LTP for eventual submittal to the NRC. The author is expected to have technical capabilities to prepare numerous sections as much as practical before considering the need to outsource sections requiring specialty contractors. Numerous detail planning documents have been prepared including technical basis documents, cost studies and HSA. Author is expected to be able to understand and incorporate technical details and cost estimates into the LTP.
• Review LTP sections drafted by others; provide technical, cost and schedule oversight of submitted sections by specialty contractors.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with the NRC for LTP review; negotiate end state with federal, state and local stakeholders.
• Develop a License Amendment Request (LAR) to include the LTP in the Unit 3 license

• Routine Licensing Activities

• Develop and submit to the NRC routine correspondence, e.g. annual radiological reports; biennial Unit 3 DSAR and ISFSI FSAR Updates; annual decommissioning reports; Post Shutdown Decommissioning Activities Report (PSDAR) revisions; changes to the emergency plan, security plan and QA plan; LARs; exemption requests.
• Attend Technical Review Groups (TRGs) when problems arise, and make reportability determinations. Act as TRG secretary for problems that become nonconformance reports (NCRs). Assist in developing root cause analysis.
• Support Nuclear Safety Oversight Committee (NSOC) activities. This includes coordinating semi-annual meetings, developing agendas, issuing meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
• Interface with the NRC Project Managers (Unit 3 and ISFSI) and Region IV inspectors (Unit 3, ISFSI, and security). Keep NRC informed via phone on emerging plant issues. Coordinate NRC inspections, approximately 4 times per year. Attend meetings in Rockville as needed.
• Coordinate with Law Department and other departments to resolve allegations or other sensitive issues as they arise.
• Maintain and revise licensing basis documents (tech specs, tech spec bases, license, DSAR, FSAR and PSDAR) and licensing procedures (correspondence, DSAR and FSAR revisions, commitment tracking system, NSOC)
