The IT Solution Architect is responsible for defining specific directions for systems in terms of conceptual design, technical orientation, implementation, operations, and maintenance.

Main Tasks

• Understands the business requirements and the process of translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions;
• Collaborates with the Manager of Application Development to provide the required technical solution;
• Provides back-up to recommendations by performing and documenting analysis;
• Provides estimates of effort for achieving project plan milestones;
• Initiatives and accountability for achieving results and hitting target dates;
• Initiates enterprise level integration that advances evolution towards enterprise SOA;
• Develops, evolves and documents architecture standards and guidelines;
• Shares material used to document IT research and development efforts;
• Provides technical expertise, guidance and training to other members of the team.
• Participates when required in the development or modification of programs and applications;
• Adheres to defined user requirements, programs, tests and provides user training

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field;
• 8 - 10 years of experience in programming/analysis/software engineering;
• Strong communication skills written, spoken and in presentation abilities,;
• Skilled negotiator and ability to build consensus;
• Excellent knowledge of design and analysis methodologies and application development processes
• Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Development Environment, including .Net, SharePoint, Visual Studio, C# and SQL.
